Pelvic Floor Weakness

Just like certain pains and symptoms can indicate pelvic floor tightness, there are also a pattern of symptoms that can point us toward pelvic floor weakness!

Pelvic floor weakness can happen from time, trauma, or even chronic over-activity of the pelvic floor. Symptoms like heaviness, pressure, leaking may demonstrate a need for more strength in the pelvic floor and core musculature, especially if these symptoms worsen with more activity and more time upright.

Some of the signs and symptoms of over-active and weak pelvic floor may actually overlap, therefore it is essential to see a pelvic floor therapist trained in assessing and treating this complex area of the body. Thankfully, with the help of a pelvic floor physical therapist, all of these symptoms can be improved or resolved completely!

So what are you waiting for? If you are experiencing any of the symptoms above or are concerned you may have pelvic floor weakness, schedule your evaluation today!
