Anyone else feeling an Olympic hangover? As a person who is patriotic, competitive, and amazed by all the capabilities of the human body, I love watching the Olympics. And this year, one thing impressed me more than anything else – the moms! Not only did these pregnant, breastfeeding, and dedicated moms of little ones show up, but they dominated their sports!
From Allyson Felix racking up a record number of track and field medals to Aliphine Tulimuk choosing to continue to breastfeed while training for and competing in the marathon only 6 months after giving birth, these moms have left me in complete awe and incredibly inspired. All of these talented women are redefining what it means to be mom strong while showcasing to the world the incredible power of the human body to adapt and recover!
There has never been a better time than now to embrace the strength of motherhood and the incredible power of your mom body. But even the world’s top athletes don’t do it alone, so why should you?
Whether you want to simply be able to move again without pain, or to compete in your sport, or to finish the Northlake Neighbors 5K/10K, Life Changes Physical Therapy wants to help you reach your goal!
Let’s take a note from these amazing athletes and mothers and show the world what mom strong truly means! 💪🏼
